3 Tips for Gastroparesis

3 Tips for Gastroparesis. People ask me all the time about a condition called Gastroparesis, which is a slow digestive system. So you might have gas, constipation, bloating, even bad breath. And in many cases, it can happen with neurological issues, meaning pinched nerves. It can even happen in people with diabetes. The first thing we want to do is check your stomach. We may need to chiropractically adjust the stomach, which means pulling the stomach down, away from the diaphragm. And sometimes, that essentially "jump starts" the digestive system. Another strategy that may be helpful is to take Dr. Joe's Digestive Enzymes, which is a supplement designed to aid in digestive issues. They help break down the food more efficiently, which helps to get everything moving along. And the third thing that you want to do with Gastroparesis is to check to see if you have a pinched nerve, because the nerves from the spine, control the digestive system. And if you have a pinched nerve, the brain may not be talking to the digestive system properly. So I would look at the stomach, the digestive enzymes, and the nerve supply, to see what is the cause of the problem. If you have any questions, you can send them to me through my website drjoe.com. These 3 Stresses Can Affect Your Sleep

These 3 Stresses Can Affect Your Sleep. I see patients every day who have sleep issues. Let's talk about 3 types of stress that may be keeping you awake at night. There are 3 types of stress I want to talk to you about, that may be affecting your sleep: chemical stress, physical stress, and emotional stress. 1. Chemical stress. This is what you eat and your environment. I want to encourage you to stay away from what I call the 7 Deadly Sins of Nutrition: alcohol, meat, sugar, dairy, coffee, soda, and artificial sweetener. At least cut back on them. Eat more things like fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds. As much as you can, follow a plant based diet for good, healthy nutrition. 2. Physical stress. If you have pain, that may be keeping you from sleeping. Chiropractic care is the most effective, least expensive treatment for back pain, so if you have pain, start out with chiropractic care, and see if that helps you. 3. Emotional stress. I can't fix your emotional issues, but I have found that when we fix the chemical stress and the physical stress, the emotional stress improves dramatically. If you have digestive issues, that can make the emotional issues much worse, because if you're not absorbing the nutrients you need, it can affect your emotions. How You Can Quickly Deal With Digestive Issues

How You Can Quickly Deal With Digestive Issues. Thank you for tuning in. If you like what you are learning, please subscribe to my channel and smash the "like" button. Today, I want to give you a simple health hack to help you quickly deal with digestive issues. How many of you have ever had digestive issues? I know most of you have. You might have heartburn, gas, burping, constipation, diarrhea, bloating, digestive problems. Everyone has digestive problems; no one wants to talk about them. So if you have digestive problems, I want to give you a simple tip to help you: The easiest thing you can do at home is to take a hot towel and lay it across your abdomen. The towel should not be too hot, but as warm as you can stand it. When you put heat on the digestive system, it relaxes the digestive system and stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system. What is that? Well, in your body, sympathetic nerves speed you up. Parasympathetic nerves slow you down. Digestion is a parasympathetic nerve function, so we need to calm down the digestive system, and a really easy solution is to lay a warm/hot towel across your abdomen. Having trouble sleeping? Have kids that are suffering from digestive problems? Lay a warm towel across their abdomen, and it should calm them down and make them feel better. I have a ton of other tips for healthy digestion, so follow me, and I'd love to have you subscribe to my newsletter. Links below. Dr. Joe Esposito, BS DC. DABCO. DAAPM. The One Daily Habit That Can Be Ruining Your Sleep

The One Daily Habit That Can Be Ruining Your Sleep. You worry too much!! I get it. I want to share with you a simple life hack that I use to help me sleep like a baby. If you like what you're learning, please subscribe to my channel and be sure to press the "like" button. Thank you. If you're like me, you lay in bed at night, and you worry about things like, "did I remember to call that person?... did I take the dog out?... did I take the trash out?... did I send that email?... and on and on.... There may be even weightier things on your mind. Here's my tip: Sticky Notes! That's right. Old school, I know, but very effective! I have sticky notes everywhere... in my office, in my car, in my kitchen, in my bathroom, next to my bed. The reason is, during the day, you think of things, and by jotting them down physically, you are taking them out of your mind and you can rest knowing that you won't forget. At the end of the day, I check all my sticky notes to make sure I did everything I was supposed to do. It feels great when you complete the task, take the sticky note, and throw it in the trash. It's a little rush of feeling great that you accomplished what you needed to do. Keep them everywhere. This will help you get things off your mind, and your mind can REST. Then, at night, you can rest easy and sleep so much better. Dr. Joe Esposito, BS DC. DABCO. DAAPM. DCBCN, DCCN drjoe.com I want to help you be well and stay well, naturally. Many people have high cholesterol. Maybe you do. High Cholesterol can be dangerous, but there nuances that I want you to understand. About 1/100 people have genetically high cholesterol. About 99/100 people do very well maintaining proper cholesterol levels through proper diet. That's great news. Many times with cholesterol, your liver is clogged up. The liver produces cholesterol, and it goes out into your body... it has many functions. Then, it comes back to the liver and gets recycled, so to speak. But if the liver is clogged up, you may not be recycling your cholesterol, and that may be why your cholesterol is high. That's where a good plan comes in to play. Cleansing the liver, eating a proper diet, getting the digestive system working properly, and taking the proper supplements... many times can lower the cholesterol naturally. Dr. Joe Esposito, BS DC. Avoid High Fructose Corn Syrup

Avoid High Fructose Corn Syrup. I want to help you be well and stay well. If you like what you are learning and it's helping you, I'm so glad. Please subscribe to my channel and smash the "like" button for this video. High Fructose Corn Syrup is not good for you. Your body has to convert fructose into glucose, which the body needs for fuel and energy. But the process of converting fructose into glucose produces something called uric acid. Uric acid is a waste product. It gets in your joints, and it hurts. As a pain specialist, I want to help you manage pain and avoid pain. Uric acid prevents the body from properly producing nitric oxide. Nitric oxide is important for your body because it opens up your blood vessels, allowing for better circulation in your brain, your sex organs, and your entire body. Dr. Joe Esposito, BS DC. DABCO.
