DOT Exam
A DOT (Department of Transportation) exam, also known as DOT physical or CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) physical, is required for individuals who operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in the United States.
Specifically, individuals who need a DOT exam include:
Truck Drivers: Those who drive trucks or tractor-trailers for commercial purposes.
Bus Drivers: Invividuals who operate buses commercial, including school buses, city buses, and charter buses.
Delivery Drivers: Drivers of vehicles user for commercial delivery purposes.
Other Commercial Drivers: Individuals who operate commercial vehicles for purposes such as construction, landscaping, and towing, among others.
The DOT exam ensures that drivers meet certain physical and medical standards set by the Department of Transportation to ensure they are physicalle capable of safely operating commercial vehicles on the road.
