Humor me. Try an experiment. This might work for some of you.

Drink some raw, organic apple cider vinegar. It will promote good digestion because it’s rich in enzymes and potassium. It also helps to support a healthy immune system by keeping the pH level in an alkaline state.

Did you know that in 400 BC, Hippocrates, the Father of Medicine, used apple cider vinegar as a cleansing and healing agent? You remember him. He’s the guy who said that all health is a factor in digestion.

Studies have shown that raw, organic apple cider vinegar is effective in helping control blood glucose and insulin levels by reducing the glycemic index of foods. Research also supports the use of it for weight loss and for diabetes.

This is how I use apple cider vinegar. I have 24 ounces of water sitting on my nightstand next to my bed; before I go to bed, I put two tablespoons of raw organic apple cider vinegar in the water. The next morning, I drink it—before I do anything else. Doesn’t sound too hard, does it?

Why in the cat hair (as they strangely say in the South, where I transplanted to from my native New Jersey) would I pull this seemingly crazy stunt?

I do it, and I’m encouraging you to do it, dear reader, because, statistically speaking, almost everyone is clinically dehydrated, and you need water for a normally functioning digestive system. There are many reasons that vinegar helps create a healthy digestive system, including the fact that it’s loaded with enzymes and beneficial bacteria and can help calm the digestive system.

So try my amazing alkaline digestive experiment! For some of you, it’s going to do wonders! Just try it. I’ve always wanted my success strategies to be easy, simple, and doable because if they’re not, you won’t do them. But if you try one and feel the benefits, you will be willing to try my other suggestions.
