Can Turmeric really help with depression?
Surprisingly, there is research out now that shows the compounds in Turmeric that actually has shown to help people with depression. One of those compounds is curcumin.
Now, some of the studies have been a little mixed, but the cool part of this, is that Turmeric is pretty benign…. so if you take it, there really isn’t a down side to taking it. I has a lot of health benefits.
But this study that I found regarding Turmeric and depression got me really excited.
So many people suffer from depression and don’t know what to do about it.
Turmeric can be part of an overall protocol. I wouldn’t recommend using Turmeric as your only treatment, but when it comes to depression, you want to get your nervous system and your digestive system working.
A fully functioning digestive system is probably the main thing that is missing, when it comes to depression. I’ve seen this countless times in my practice.
Your body has to be able to break down your food, to absorb the nutrients, to fuel the neurotransmitters in your brain, so your brain is healthy and functions well.
If your digestive system isn’t working as it should, it can lead to things like depression.
